Currently hiring for seasonal positions, approximately 3 days a week at our Toronto shop.

In anticipation of a very busy Back To School and Holiday season, we are currently hiring for seasonal positions, approximately 3 days a week at our Toronto shop.

Our stationery shop is looking for two seasonal positions open to applicants who love all things paper and ink! If you enjoy providing excellent customer service, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a creative environment, we would love to hear from you. Join our team and share your love for stationery with our wonderful customers in-store and online.

Training is provided, but these positions are best suited for those with a genuine passion for stationery, paper and pens coupled with retail experience and/or attention to detail. Bonus if you are active in the social media stationery community. Looking for someone who can work as part of a team as well as autonomously.

JOB DESCRIPTION #1: Part-time Seasonal - Sales Associate, Paper Plus Cloth

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic team member to join us on the sales floor for the back to school and holiday season. If you enjoy providing excellent customer service, have a keen eye for detail, and thrive in a creative retail environment, we would love to hear from you. This position is approximately 3 days a week. Training is provided, but retail sales experience is a must. A passion for and knowledge of stationery, paper and pens is a definite bonus.

This position is seasonal with the possibility of continued hours based on fit and availability.

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service on the sales floor
  • Greeting customers, processing sales, refunds and exchanges
  • Answering questions, demonstrating product and sharing product knowledge
  • Keeping the floor clean, safe and well merchandised
  • Stocking product and maintaining displays
  • Working to prevent and deter theft
  • Keeping notes on customer requests, feedback and observations

Special projects may include:

  • Working on or off-site events and event prep
  • Creating product samples for demonstration purposes

Requirements:

  • Must have availability and flexibility to work weekends
  • Retail sales experience required
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining attentive to customers
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficient in written and verbal English
  • Physical demands: this position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least 4 to 6 consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling and crouching
  • Flexibility to work varied hours during busier periods and special events

JOB DESCRIPTION #2: Part-time Seasonal - Fulfillment Specialist 

We are looking for a detail-oriented team member to support our online and backend operations. If you are organized, enjoy working behind the scenes, and take pride in being meticulous and getting things right, we would love to hear from you. This position is approximately 3 days a week. Training is provided, and a passion for and knowledge of stationery is always a bonus.

This position is seasonal with the possibility of continued hours based on fit and availability.

Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responding to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Packing and processing online orders accurately and efficiently
  • Managing order status updates including fulfillment, packing and shipping
  • Receiving and organizing inventory
  • Keeping notes on customer requests, questions and feedback
  • Supporting general shop operations as needed

Requirements:

  • Must have availability and flexibility to work weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid written English communication skills, as this role involves regular customer correspondence
  • Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Familiarity with e-commerce or order fulfillment is an asset but not required
  • Physical demands: this role involves standing, moving, lifting boxes and packaging materials for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varied hours during busy periods and special events
