This is a beginner‐friendly journaling illustration workshop designed for stationery lovers and people interested in creative self‐expression. Participants will learn simple drawing techniques using pencil crayons and fineliners, and then apply them to decorate a personal journal page.
The workshop emphasizes confidence‐building, step‐by‐step guidance, and immediate completion of a finished page suitable for sharing or daily journaling use.

Workshop outcome:
- Learn basic pencil crayon colouring techniques
- Learn how to draw 3 simple motifs: a dessert, a drink and a bouquet
- Learn  how to arrange elements on a page using basic composition rules
- Complete a decorated journal spread

If you want your journal pages to pop, this workshop will guide you to create simple, cute illustrations that bring out your unique style. No matter your skill level, expect to leave with the confidence to doodle your own story! 

A take-home kit will be provided for each participant and materials will be provided for use during the class.  If you would like to bring your own personal notebook/journal, stickers or favourite pen for use in the class, please feel free to do so, but it is not required.

    ABOUT TRACY WANG
    Tracy Wang is a mixed-media illustrator and  the creative force behind  stationery brand, Banana Hand.  Based in Ottawa, by day she is an educator, but by night a serial illustrator! She absolutely loves drawing small, delightful details of her everyday life—from the tastiest food to the cutest animals and flowers. Using colored pencils and drawing pens, her goal is to turn simple daily inspirations into playful art.
