In this workshop, students will learn simple bookbinding techniques to create their very own Traveler’s Notebook inserts. We’ll create two inserts in the class, and a variety of papers will be at your disposal, including some fountain-pen friendly options. You’ll be able to use the skills learned in this class to create your own inserts, and add aesthetic and structural customization to your Traveler’s Notebook system.
We’ll start with the basics of folding sheets of paper into bundles and sewing them together, and learn to safely trim and tidy up the outside edge of the booklet once sewn. If you’ve ever wondered how to create an insert for your Traveler’s Notebook from paper you love, or wanted to re-cover an existing insert, this one’s for you!
No previous bookbinding or sewing experience is needed, just a curiosity for craftiness!
