2027 Hobonichi Weeks: Yoshie Watanabe - Petit Bloom

Hobonichi

Yoshie Watanabe is a Japanese art director and the designer behind the paper goods brand D-BROS, and a co-founder of the studio KIGI. Her work is precise and softly graphic, with a light touch that carries beautifully onto paper. For 2027 she brings two lines to the Hobonichi range: Petit Bloom and Dotted Plaid.

Small flowers, each with its own expression, are woven into a deep navy cloth with an elegant texture. A single red line runs down both the front and the back, sharpening the whole thing with one stroke, and the spine carries the year 2027 in black foil so softly you have to look for it.

A week runs across the left page, a grid page waits opposite, and the grid pages at the back take the overflow. The hardcover is light and slightly flexible, made to be carried rather than shelved, with the design bound into the book itself. It suits a week kept in lists rather than long entries.
