Mark your calendars! On August 3 and 4, Tono & Lims is bringing A Deep Sea Walk to Paper Plus Cloth for the first time ever in Canada, and it is going to be something special.
If you are not yet familiar with Tono&Lims, they are a Korean-Japanese ink brand with a cult following built around one of the most adventurous and expansive ink collections in the world. A Deep Sea Walk is one of their signature events, held at carefully selected shops around the world, and we are incredibly proud to be the first Canadian stop on their journey.
Here is what to expect:
OPENING EARLY: We will be opening early at 10:30am both days to accommodate more appointments.
Ink Lab
This is the one to sign up for. In a dedicated 20-minute session, you will work with the Tono & Lims team to create your very own custom fountain pen ink colour from scratch. Bring references, bring inspiration, bring a colour you have been dreaming about. Spots are limited and reservations are required. Sign up early because these will go fast. *LIMIT - 1 appt. per person
Stamp Ink Lab
Also by appointment, you will have up to 20min to sit down with the Tono & Lims team and create a custom oil-free, pigment-based ink pad colour that exists nowhere else in the world. Come with a reference image or colour in mind and they will do their best to bring it to life.Â
Shimmer Bar
No reservation needed for this one. Purchase a Tono & Lims ink and choose from an incredible selection of shimmer colours to add to your bottle, making it entirely your own. With around 80 shimmer options to choose from, no two bottles will ever be the same.
Exclusive Inks
Tono & Lims have created 2 new inks made exclusively for this event at Paper Plus Cloth. These will not be available anywhere else, and once they are gone, they are gone. We will also be releasing 3 limited edition Tono&Lims x Paper Plus Cloth collab inks!
Surprise Activities and Products
There will be well over 300 ink colours to discover and stationery surprises are in store including a hot stamp machine of a fun exclusive design to commemorate the event. Bring or purchase your favourite notebooks or leather covers and be ready to have some fun!
Ink Lab and Stamp Ink Lab reservations are now open and spots are limited so don't wait. The Shimmer Bar and Hot Stamping will be available for walk-ins throughout both days.
