Colors is the classic Hobonichi cover and the natural place to start. Made from a sturdy, softly lustrous polyester, it's light but hard-wearing, with "butterfly-stopper" pen holders that double as a clasp, a contrasting interior, and two bookmarks with different charms. The newest shades take their cues from the colours of clothing, so you can match your techo to what you're wearing.
Navy is the subdued one, and the more useful for it. Deep and quiet, it goes wherever you go — a desk, a meeting, a café table — without asking for any attention at all. It is also the shade to reach for when you are buying for someone else, since it is very hard to get wrong.
Sized for the A6 book, which simply slips inside. It makes a particularly good base if you like to layer a patterned Cover on Cover over the top: the navy grounds a busy print rather than competing with it, and the two charmed bookmarks still hang free below.
