iyo okumi is an embroidery artist and illustrator who works in thread and coloured pencil, drawing animals, plants and small everyday things into simple, romantic compositions. She works mainly through exhibitions, and has shown across Japan and in Taiwan.
Her design is embroidered by machine onto a linen cover, so the animals and plants keep the stitched texture of the original. The whole set arrives in a box made to look like a book when it is closed, with animals stamped in gold foil down the spine.
The 5-Year Techo lets you read five versions of the same date at once, so a single page slowly fills with the same day across five years. Inside the cover is a pen hook that holds a pen by its clip, and a pencil board is included for writing comfortably on any page.
