Created by Pilot Japan, the Iroshizuku (色彩雫・いろしずく) ink series celebrates the beauty of Japanese landscapes through rich, expressive colour. Each ink is inspired by a fleeting scene from nature—misty mornings, seasonal blooms, quiet water, or changing light—translated into carefully balanced hues designed to enhance the pleasure of writing.

Formulated as a water-based dye ink, Iroshizuku inks are known for their smooth flow, clear colour, and subtle shading on the page. The iconic faceted glass bottle is both practical and elegant, with a wide opening that makes filling easy and satisfying. The series has received multiple design honours in Japan, including the Japan Package Design Award (Gold) and the Good Design Long Life Design Award, recognizing its enduring appeal and thoughtful design.
