Bow & Tie covers are made from fabric woven for neckties, so the motifs are built into the cloth rather than printed on it — a silky lustre and a texture you can feel. Because each book is cut from a long repeating bolt, no two show the pattern in quite the same place, and there are small lucky motifs hidden in the weave to find.
This one is a sweet shop. Colourful candies scatter across a deep navy ground — wrapped drops, lollipops, swirls, cotton candy, chewy sweets, even a traditional Kintaro candy if you look closely enough.
The Weeks is the slim one: a week across the left page, a grid page on the right, and a long run of grid pages at the back. The cover design is bound into the book itself, so there is nothing to slip on and nothing else to buy — it arrives ready to be written in, and it bends comfortably into a coat pocket or a small bag.
