A soft crimson colour like spring's red plum flowers that have been loved since ancient times. In the Heian period, the colour was especially popular as garment dye.
Shachihata 'Iromoyo' ink pads are influenced by traditional Japanese colours used in arts, textiles, and crafts. The ink is such that it is easy to produce a clear image even with stamps that have intricate designs and it does not bleed through most papers. Ink is acid-free, oil-based, and waterproof (when completely dry).
