HASE Glass Works is a one-person studio in Sakado, Saitama Prefecture, where glass artist Naohiro Hasegawa shapes every pen by hand over a flame that exceeds 2000 degrees Celsius. He works without molds, reading the material as it moves and letting each form find itself. The glass he uses is borosilicate, chosen for its lightness, its strength, and a transparency that allows colour to live inside it in a way that feels almost impossible.
His signature Ripples series captures this beautifully. Wave-like patterns flow through the body of each pen, shifting as the light moves across them, with swirling colour depths that draw you in before you have even picked it up.
No two pens are the same. Every piece that leaves the studio is the only one of its kind in the world.
