Ateliers Pénélope AP Portable Light Shoulder Bag
Ateliers Pénélope has been making bags and accessories at their Nakameguro atelier since 1996, and the AP Portable Light reflects a different side of that practice — lightweight, packable, and built for days when you want to carry less.
The bag is made from mini-rip taffeta, a soft, supple material with moderate stretch, wrinkle resistance, and water-repellent properties that make it well suited to everyday errands and shopping. It is large enough to carry a notebook, a few pens, and daily essentials, and light enough that you barely notice it. Keep one folded in your car or tucked into your everyday bag for whenever you need it — a grocery run, a quick errand, an unexpected stop. When you don't need it, fold it in thirds, roll it up, and tuck it into its own side pouch pocket. The hook and eye closure at the top keeps things secure, and a zippered side pocket handles smaller items.
Hand wash with mild detergent if needed. Note that water-repellent properties will diminish with washing, and the bag is water-repellent rather than waterproof.
