Ateliers Pénélope AP Ear Bag (S)
Ateliers Pénélope has been making bags and accessories from No. 10 canvas at their Nakameguro atelier since 1996, dyeing domestic cotton in original colours and finishing it with a paraffin treatment that gives the fabric both structure and character.
The Ear Bag takes its name from its handles, two short loops that sit at the top of the bag like a pair of animal ears — practical to carry, and quietly distinctive. Despite its compact size, the gusset opens up generously when filled, making it a capable everyday bag for a notebook, pens, a wallet, and the small things that travel with you. An interior hanging pocket keeps smaller items from disappearing to the bottom, and the hook and eye closure at the top keeps everything secure. The all-over logo print adds a graphic quality that reads differently depending on the colourway.
The paraffin-waxed canvas is firm to the touch and will develop a natural patina with use.
