Ink Institute Fountain Pen Ink - Taiwan's Secret Realm: Lavender Coral

Lavender Coral 薰衣草珊瑚 is inspired by the underwater lavender fields of Penghu, a rare marine sight near Dongjiyu where vibrant lavender-blue staghorn coral grows in shallow, sunlit waters. These reefs form an otherworldly seascape—soft purples mingling with the greens of cabbage coral, creating a palette that feels both serene and enchanting.

The site is difficult to reach and depends on calm weather and safe sea conditions, a remoteness that helps preserve its pristine beauty. Small fish and marine life weave through the coral branches, giving the area a sense of quiet movement and living colour. The ink reflects this underwater world through a gentle lavender tone with natural, expressive shading.
