Ateliers Pénélope AP Hole Tote (L)
Ateliers Pénélope has been making bags and accessories from canvas at their Nakameguro atelier since 1996, developing original materials and treatments that improve with use. The AP Hole Tote is made from No. 6 canvas that has been bio-stonewashed, giving it a softer, more relaxed hand than untreated canvas while retaining the durability the material is known for.
At this size it carries a full day's worth easily — notebooks, a pencil case, a water bottle, whatever the day calls for. The half-moon handle attachment points are designed for comfortable handling, and the handles themselves are wrapped in cowhide leather that will darken and soften over time. Inside, a three-compartment pocket handles a phone and small essentials, and the base is fitted with a removable plywood board that keeps the bag standing and its contents organised.
The bio-stonewashed canvas and leather handles will both develop character with regular use.
