Spring Watercolor Workshop with Nora MacPhail

Paper Plus Cloth

WORKSHOP DETAILS

Date: Sunday, April 13, 2025 [9:00 am - 11:30 am]

Celebrate the season with an exploration of watercolour techniques in this hands-on workshop led by artist Nora MacPhail. Together, you’ll build a layered floral composition inspired by a daisy garden, using structured, step-by-step instructions suitable for all skill levels.

Throughout the session, Nora will demonstrate and guide you through key watercolour fundamentals including wet-on-wet vs. wet-on-dry application, developing form through negative painting, and controlling colour saturation and transparency across layered washes. You’ll also learn how to effectively work with cold press watercolour paper, manage water flow, and refine brushwork for expressive floral forms.

There will be live demonstrations, guided practice, and individual feedback throughout the class to help strengthen both technique and creative confidence.

All materials are provided. Just bring yourself!
Beginners are welcome—no prior experience necessary.
