Hobonichi Techo A5 Planner Diary & Cover SET - My Manga and I - 2020 January Start
*INCLUDES Cover and Diary Notebook in English*
The word Techo translates loosely to planner and there are many reasons why the Hobonichi Techo is one of the most popular, anticipated planners out of Japan.
It is a daily planner system made from the wonderful Tomoe River paper - paper that is half the weight of copy paper, yet strong enough to take on fountain pen, dip pen, and a selection of pens, paints, inks and markers. It is constructed with a comfortable lay flat binding stitch.
The planner uses a subtle grid which makes for the perfect pages for documenting life, schedules, thoughts and memories. The dailies are preceded with a 2-page monthly calendar spread in addition to a few other handy reference pages.
This cover design features artwork from an unreleased work by artist Taiyo Matsumoto. The main character in the picture is reading manga without a single care about the white bird sitting on his head. Look closely and you’ll see the famous manga title “Black Jack” on the book. The gorgeous details that have gone into this drawing make for a believable scene, down to the lines of the sweater and the look of leather on the traditional Japanese firm-sided randoseru backpack.
The back outer pocket contains pictures of the five pins from the boy’s hat to keep the lovely artwork present on the cover no matter which side of your closed techo is facing up.
The My Manga and I cover features Hobonichi signature ribbon bookmarks, locking pen loops and storage for cards, money, or ephemera.
